setting up a computer to have access
I bought a laptop, trying to set it up to file share with an xp machine. I am missing something.
That isn't resolved yet. seems to be an issue when I do a search for it.
Many have complained.
I also want to know is it difficult or even possible to set it up that I can have access to this machine through xp?
It is going to my mother who never had a computer and I am quite sure she will need some help at times.
help is appreciated.

Maybe easy to use, but not easy on the wallet.
Our current special offers the
Premium license plus one additional channel for $ 2098 instead of $ 2248

I got them networked now,
It was showing up, then it would reboot and disappear.
I finally gave up last night and whatever happened, I wanted rid of that stupid name I gave it, that even when I renamed a location the foul mouth name I gave it was always the network name. Without that name it wouldn't work. Laptop screen died on my Toshiba, so I just created an entire new network with the Vista and all is good, even after a few reboots.
I told Mom to go to the Senior Center and find out what OS they are teaching, No point in giving her vista if they are teaching XP.
I maybe shopping again next week. sheesh!.
