F.F. Noscript?

As was mentioned in another link, I've been doing some reading on this add-on in F.F.

More I read, the more confused I get. (Natural for me)

Was curious if I really need it or not and if so, is it hard to configure. I really don't surf much, just a couple news sites, Yahoo mail, and 4-5 forums. Thanks for any advise.

If you're using FF, I think one of the greatest advantages is its additional security. No-script, IMO, is at the heart of that. I have used it since I switched over to FF, and haven't had an unwanted pop-up since. It allows you to select which scripts you'll allow to run on a page, and believe me, there are often 6-10, which will put tracking cookies and the like on your system. I highly recommend it.

I do also. I have used it for quite a while now and it does just as it say.

Thanks much Doc and Deb. Don't know how I lost this thread, just forgot, I guess. Not on much anymore but guess I can blame it on the age, forgetfulness and all that.
