Thinking!!! LOL
I am wondering if I bring a wireless router to work, plug it in to the ethernet cord running to my office, if I can set it up so that I can have my wireless devices able to connect to the 'net even though my computer isn't the primary one?

How to hook up a wireless router to a network with an existing router

I want to hook up a wireless router in my office. There is an NT server on a
static IP of 192.168.0.2 that is handing out DHCP addresses from .3 to .200. There is
also a main office router that feeds into the NT server with a static IP
of 192.168.0.1.
I have set up the wireless router on a static IP (192.168.0.201), handing out DHCP
addresses from .202 to .254. These DHCP addresses have been excluded from
the server's list of available IP addresses.
Problem: When I plug my office computer (set up for DHCP) into the wireless
router, it will access the Internet, but not the server's network drives or
the Exchange Server.
Any ideas on how to accomplish this.
It looks like it can be done. I am not interested in accessing the work networking, just the net. Only thing is... that may disrupt the work network for me in general on my work computer.

Don't see why it shouldn't work?
We did that here at the bowl last year when they had a couple of tournaments on over 2 weeks. All the computers are networked (wired) through a router to a main computer in the office.
There was a spare ethernet cable at the reception desk that wasn't connected to anything (except the router at the office end). We connected a wireless router to that cable and the visiting bowlers could use their laptops to access the Internet while they were in the bowl.
I even connected to it a few times from here in the workshop down the back and got free Internet for a while, this was before I got my wireless broadband.

I guess I will repost what I had posted on Sunday(that disappeared).
I hooked up the wireless router to the line coming in, and that utterly failed even after resetting the router, rebooting the computer, etc. I then hooked the hub back up that I originally had, hooked up the router to that and set up my wireless and WPA encryption. Rebooted the computer, and voila! It worked!!!
