Calgary Herald: Final Flight For Air Farce by Alex Strachan
Don Ferguson has played Brian Mulroney, Rex Murphy, Vladimir Putin, Stockwell Day and Bob Dylan -- yes, that Bob Dylan -- in his time on Royal Canadian Air Farce. Right now, though, he's looking forward to just playing Don Ferguson, when Air Farce retires at the end of the year after 16 seasons as a tradition in Canadian comedy.
The standing sets will be taken down, the fright wigs stashed away and the wardrobe trunks locked down for good, and Ferguson will say goodbye to the grind of a weekly, live broadcast -- and, more sadly, a collaboration with Farce-mates Roger Abbott and Luba Goy that has lasted some 35 years.
